However, for a part that has already been produced using our system, the lead time is generally reduced to around three days.

Who are the suppliers of BCM and can we trust them?

Our suppliers go through a rigorous qualification process before their production capabilities are listed on BCM. We have confidentiality agreements in place with all our suppliers, and audits can be carried out on a regular basis.

In the event of non-compliance or problems, Beelse reserves the right to temporarily or permanently remove the supplier from our BCM system.

What is the reparability index?

The reparability index is an indicator designed to reflect the ease with which an object can be repaired. Evaluated on a scale of 10 according to specific criteria, it has applied to certain electrical and electronic equipment since January 2021.

The aim of this index is to combat programmed obsolescence and promote a circular economy, i.e. the sustainable production of goods and services.

From January 2022, controls will be stepped up. The Direction Générale de la Concurrence, de la Consommation et de la Répression des Fraudes (DGCCRF) will monitor compliance with this new obligation. Retailers who fail to meet these obligations may be fined. In addition, the DGCCRF will monitor the reliability of the ratings awarded, and may initiate proceedings if they are found to be misleading.

In addition, new decrees were published in the Journal Officiel on January 1, laying down new rules for spare parts. The law now requires a minimum availability of five years from the date the very first unit was put on the market.

Do I have to own the 3D files?
